Ok, so I've been to have a look:

Plus Points:

Suspension work has been done, springs replaced, underneath is good.
Rear Parking Sensors work
Interior is good, just needs a clean
Bodywork seems fine, no signs of rust or other issues apart from patch on roof
Drives well, autobox seems fine, suspect it may have been mapped (?)
Lovely colour, one of my favourites
Powerfolds fitted
Boot is dry
Seller seems genuine

Minus Points:

Pretty sure front bumper has been replaced and has no headlight washers now
Engine Management light on (although it did go off briefly for seller this morning but came back on - he had the forethought to record this so no reason to doubt it)
Plenum mod has been done - checked and there is evidence of standing water in plenum.
Missing inspection panel in passenger wheelarch so could have been lots of water thrown into engine bay onto wiring loom
Short MOT to resolve engine light
Some missing pixels in display when cold - did improve during test drive though.

On a separate note, I thought the spec on these included HK? Not present if it did.

It all hinges on the Engine Light really - he's happy for me to have a think today and let him know this afternoon.

Hi Chris.
Did you try my suggestion in post 8

https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...22&postcount=8

MOT looks to be decent few fails but not major ones, just silly ones, as you now expect to spend another £500 minimum on any second hand car you purchase, do not think the MIL light is anything drastic.

I am sure he will knock the £60 so you can get it looked at, T4 session

Yes, sorry, forgot to mention I gave it a few tries whilst I was under the bonnet.

Well I've made a deal on it now, can't collect it until next Sat (30th) but once I have it I'll update again. Looks like I'm back in the fold - mission accomplished

As its up in the North East is there perhaps anyone you could call upon in the area to give it a onceover, say with a T4 and help point you in the right direction on your way home

Headlight washers were usually fitted with xenon headlights, which look the same as the standard halogen projectors but have darker bezels labelled 'xenon technology' and your headlight control panel will be missing the headlight level thumbwheel. Xenons were most commonly fitted as part of the option pack on the Conty SE which your car doesn't have (it also included a sunroof).

The HK system is most easily identified by the big black sub on the underside of the parcel shelf and small 'harman kardon' badges on the front tweeters which aren't evident in the photos. Strange if it's missing but it's no great loss to be honest.

A further note is that your car has non-standard alloys - the Meteor wheels fitted with were available as an option, sometimes packaged with sports suspension.

The car looks like it needs some tidying but costing so little, you can't go wrong.
