I'm currently with Autoaid and no complaints after recently having used them for the first time in many years, they have just advised me that "due to customer demand" they have switched to auto renewal! Don't think so. I think I will be following Bob to GEM. Only issue is my missus is automatically covered with Autoaid whereas it is an extra on GEM. That said she never drives out of the city without me.

Despite me raving about GEM, Stocktake has done some better research than me and highlighted the following clauses:-
"Recovery following an accident, vandalism or theft is limited to a recovery distance up to 10 miles from the scene of the incident. Recovery following the ignition keys being lost, stolen or locked within the vehicle is limited to a recovery distance up to 10 miles from the scene of the breakdown. Recovery of a caravan or trailer that has broken down is limited to a recovery distance up to 10 miles from the scene of the breakdown" I think that everyone should be aware of this as it might effect your purchasing decision. Thanks to Dave for pointing this out.

Well, after looking around and having previously been recovered by auto aid I have renewed with them at a cost of £74.
This covers me and the wife in any vehicle either of us are driving of any age, national recovery. One thing to be aware of is they join you up to automatic renewal but you can cancel this on line .

I say that it is personalised as the "Post Lockdown Escape" featured on the front cover is Shaftesbury, which is a stones throw from where I live. Going there, I wouldn't have any issue if someone nicked my car keys, or it got damaged, as it is well within the 10 mile limit. I am thinking about getting myself a caravan, just for the hell of it!
