You are sounding like someone who probably will not be frequenting this forum much longer.
People are fed up with your antagonising threads and posts,it seems to me that your sole aim is to cause trouble

It appears ITV wanted him to issue an apology for his comments on MM and tone it down, he decided against and tendered his resignation.

Exactly that Dave. The choice is 'Do what we say or be sacked'. He was employed entirely because of his reputation of which they were fully aware.
The option is false, the employer (thinks) they know what he will do. It's called Hobson's Choice and unacceptable. Therefore, dismissal by default. If he had taken the matter to a tribunal, ha ha, he would have lost the case. That's dismissal in any language. The culprits here are Beresford and his co-presenter for taking issue with him, knowing what might follow. His popularity among insiders is dismal, but that is the fault of the employer for knowingly putting cat amongst pigeons. Conflicting opinion is bread, butter, and commercials, to them.

He'll do fine. He didn't say anything I didn't agree with. The comparison with other royals and their children's modesty was telling.
The point he made about Letters Patent was contrary to my earlier belief. I thought it was George 5 that issued the last Letters Patent concerning hereditary titles. Grateful for the correction.

I think it reveals the bias in the TV companies, maybe not bias just lack of bottle? Chris S.

Steve its not your opinion that matters, its the language you choose to use to express it, rude and full of bile. Chris S.
