The voice of formula one, RIP Murray. I hope the world of f1 will organise a tribute of some sort, covid compliant.

Sad News indeed RIP Murray, I hope we'll get a stretch of a UK Circuit named after him, I remember him commenting on all types of motorsports throughout the 60's.

Very sad to hear of his passing.
You truly were a one off Murray, the unique ability to be hugely entertaining, and being able to commentate at fever pitch when there was usually very little actually happening.

R.I.P. You legend.

Sad to hear of the passing of one of motorsport's greats. His infectious enthusiasm made every F1 race a joy to watch, its never been the same since he retired.
Sad that he wasn't made Sir Murray Walker.

Already in place Ian
The last corner before the start and finish straight at Snetterton was renamed Murrays in 2011 in his honour.
Here's a little quote from the time it was so named "Murrays corner will see an enormous amount of drama and is just the place where Murray's excited commentary would be in its element"
And to prove a point here's "our Ryan" in action at said corner last year

If you read his autobiography, although he was working for Mars' parent company at the time, he insists that it wasn't he that came up with the "work, rest and play" slogan.
