Maybe I should swap my 59 plate fiesta van for this.
Think?!? Do it!!

If only about 800 Rover/MG variants were made, then this would be a classic car in a very short space of time.

Would they be but, as they are by defination a van, even if its car based?

Must admit, I like these a lot, would love a mk1 in red.

Default up date on inforamtion

i have been informed by a statician this morning of the following information on Rover commerce from the DVLA. These are the exact figures for the rover commerce.

2003 03/53 REGISTRATIONS> 346 VANS BUILT AND REGISTERED
2004 04/54 REGISTRATIONS> 51 OLD SHAPE VANS AND 66 NEW SHAPE ROVER COMMERCE VANS
2005 54/05 REGISTRATIONS> JUST 15 VANS
2006 55/06 REGISTRATIONS> 4 ROVER COMMERCE VANS
2007 56/07 REGISTRATIONS> I ROVER COMMERCE VAN
2008 57/08 REGISTRATIONS> 1 ROVER COMMERCE VAN

TOTAL NEW SHAPE ROVER COMMERCE VANS>87 VANS

This is very low, just came across this though, the only new shape rover commece up for grabs currently

http://www.vcars.co.uk/used-cars/car...?t=sims&u=3356

These vans will be classics, no doubt about it only 87. Reg number GD04 ABF chassis number 782803 August 2004 , one of the first to be built in the new shape.

great find, i'm not suprised there wasn't more made though. I could see the demand would be very limited, the load space isn't big enough for most van users and it's just a hatch with no rear seats unlike the combi etc...

I remember as school some blokes bought escort vans as they were cheap and cheap to insure and lots of room for subs etc... wish i did, i would have chosen the zr... but left school before they came out

I have some pictures now to share with you , this is the van, one of only 15 Rover commerce built in 2005

I need to get the scratch done on the nearside lower bumper, and one stone chip but apart from that shes in good condition for a commercial van. The van has done 68000 miles on her L series diesel engine, service history is good if not totally complete.

Thats another mark 1 rover commerce, thats one of 400 or so that were made in the early shape vans. I must admit I prefer the mark 1 Rover 75 and the mark 2 rover commerce vans rather than the earlier spec, they look much better.
