Theres no way that a Rover 214 spec motor can match either the 101 or the 113 l series diesels..I just love these engines... they would rip the 214 to bits in power and speed.
The only other two engines which to me were great engines were the T series 2.0 petrol and the A series engines.

A high revving motorcycle is a joy on the twisty stuff. You have to use the gearbox and the revs and getting it all neat and everything timed right gives you such a buzz. Here I'm talking about making quick progress, not being a loon. The same bike will be a pain in the butt, quite literally, on a long motorway journey. There is a sort of a parallel here between cars and bikes with the 16v petrol being like the high revving small capacity 2 stroke and the diesel being like a lower revving larger capacity 4 stroke. They're just different ways of achieving similar results. If you've owned bikes I think you'll appreciate where I'm coming from.

Really does look in very good nick for the mileage and well looked after for a work vehicle. Like kieranswood, I could't see much of a market for them, but they are pretty. From experience, you can get a washing machine in, or a leather chesterfield armchair.

I love the mk2 dash in the 25. So nice and cup holders etc. Great, should have been what the mk1 had from the start IMO.

Looks a nice tidy little Van that.
A friend of mine has a White one. Now an MG ZR Rep. Where did you find the info on how many are left? Would love to find out how many Montego's and Maestro's are left. Stephen

Maybe the DVLA would be willing to help out the club if someone official fired off an e-mail?
