German and French companies are all that you see on the roads in large numbers Franco-German tie ups is working well, even the japanese do not get a look in like they used to.

The markets of Europe are now dominated by two brands French and German. The whole system is based around Franco-german ideology.

Are you taking about car brands? Peugeot and Citroen formed PSA years ago, and Reanult merged with nissan. I don't really think there is some plot to get rid of rover by loads of french and german CEOs.

Your reading it wrong , smash the oposition and leave the spoils for your country and your countries brands.

no room for Britain now...... others will follow.

I'm not sure how else to read it, nevertheless we seeming to be doing ok, last time I looked our economy was bigger than France's, and has been for a while IIRC. So the plan to smash us doesn't seem to be going too well.

Only if you believe the stat's. Our economy is well behind France hence we are still in recession (I don't believe we've come out of it tbh) where as France came out ages ago according to IMF findings

Renault took over a bankrupt Nissan... hardly a merger

My point was that there wasn't a franco-german mass merging of car companies, and that take-overs/mergers on a global scale are the way forward for car companies, and that Rover needed more than £100m.
