I got a pair of good pre drive chrome mirrors from the dark red one way up the back and a sunroof motor from the blue one, apart from that the cars were pretty knackered with people ripping out good interior parts to get to the usual central locking assemblies.

The scrapping rate is alarming for such a young car, If Y reg 2001 cars are going then a few more years and nothing will be beyond scrapping in all registrations.

i wonder how many R75/MGZ's are left on the road now?? around 80.000 cars prehaps?? out of 240,000 cars

Couldn't agree with Carl more. I have just saved a 2002 Freelander from certain death all because of the HGF. It's criminal really, it forces people into newer cars and sometimes spend more money then they can afford when buying another. Freelander comes tomorrow, so they can be saved
