The Rover 75 tourer takes about £65 to £75 pounds to fill her, in her older days not quite as good as she used to be on fuel. The car on 1400 miles would be around 3 and a bit tanks.remember some of those motorway services are £7.00 per gallon now mate and at around 42 miles to the gallon thats 2,1/2 gallons per tonne of mileage. so £17.50 per 100 miles of use, so £175 pounds per 1000 miles, and the another 400 MILES on top is £70 pounds, together makes £245 pounds.
£75 +£75+£75+£30=£255 pounds mate> 3 and a bit tanks for 1400 miles of work. I WISH IT WAS TWO TANKS....

Use mine daily. 3 days a week I put about 70 miles on the clock plus weekend driving. The rest is local..
No point in having a car and not driving it.. It's like having a model for a wife and sleeping in separate beds.

I use my 75 every day & I love it - unfortunately, so does the missus and she usually takes it to work in preference to her Mercedes A160!!
I recently did a 500 miles round trip to Lincolnshire & got 44.3 mpg overall - not bad for a diesel auto. I think that the recent remap has probably added about a 15% improvement (when driven 'carefully'!). Mike |
