Default olde faithful still going strong 198000 miles! wonderfull car!

I have just today clocked 198000 miles in the Rover 75 tourer I have had since brand new when I ordered it, it is still on the original clutch and diesel pumps and every thing else, what a motor!

I only just had two bushes placed on the front at 196000 miles of work, the alternator, raditor, all pumps, everything is still the original including all bearings on the wheels.

Here's to one of the best BRITISH CARS ever made by the Brits.....up there with the spitfire in my opinion "THE ROVER 75"MY 2002 02 TOURER "OLE FAITHFUL"

The car is mint, and considering she just done another 1100 miles this week including a birmingham to Falkirk (Scotland) and back in 11 hours which was 665 miles up and down in one hit, it's great.

no rust on any of the body work, the chrome still shines when polished and she outside all year round on the drive. The car does around 500 miles a week, I have never topped the oil up between the 15000 miles servicing and the water either, never needs a top up, THESE ARE THE BRITISH BMW'S

Without doubt a class car in diesel format. I truly believe the harder i work her the better the thing has driven over the years, and when i mean work harder , i mean sheer hard mileage.

great motor car.she's off to wigan on Saturday theres another 300 round trip, she is a class motor.

funny enough i did spot your address, I went up to Arnold clark dealership to look at R75 CONTEMPORARY SE , It was a load of rubbish and not very well looked after and only done 47000 miles from new 05 plater very late chassis number also, but a dog..

However, as I have said on another post, found a cinarron Green "MINT" parden the pun R75 tourer CDTI Auto SE, only 30100 miles from new, FRSH and 1 owner from brand new, with the cream leather interior and electric everything, and that green on the tourers is fantastic and very rare, mostly silver in MK2 format and being a MARK 2 Rover 75 model, i wanted one for the wife and to experience that last from Rover, what they had to offer before they are all gone.

The Mark 2 is also very fresh looking because not many got the factory out before the dreaded bump..

The car has served you well as you say British engineering at it's best.

Hi Martin, is the green tourer at a dealers in Wigan? I bought my 75 from M Monks there, been hardly any problems in the 15 months i've had her.

still on original clutch! that's astonishing - what about master and slave? still on originals? the clutch hydraulics are the weak point - my slave cylinder went after 58k
