Default Rounded off torx bolt

As mentioned in my posting earlier this evening, one of the torx 50 bots securing the drivers seat (electric) to the floor has been rounded off by a previous owner, or someone doing some work for them.

Any ideas please on how to get round this problem please? Looking at it, not much room there so looking forward to reading your thoughts. Thanks.

See if you can get a good pair of mole grips on the end of the bolt from under the car, try loosening it this way.

Use a ribe bit, not a torx bit.

try a pair of pump pliers, and just try and nip it off a bit, you might find there's less resistance for the torx bit to grip

Or try a couple of bits of insulating taper over the bolt head and then force the bit in, again, it might just be enough grip to loose it

The seat bolts are ribe, not torx. There is enough difference that a ribe bit would still remove the bolt when a torx has slipped and damaged the head.

Can you tap it round with a small chisel? I thought Dragrad had fixed it for a while because he said 'Thread moved'
