afternoon everybody hope you all had great crimbo me laid up with flu(second year on the trot),about a month or so ago i bought a oil burner as a project ive been using it for about 3 weeks now and and the fuel gauge goes down just as quick as my 190, not good,its had a 160 map pulls well no smoke what could be the cause,how would i find out if the maf is dead or any other problems thanks

Try-temporally disconnecting it, to see if it makes a difference.
Does it get up to 'normal' temperature-if not it may need a new thermostat,,this can also affect economy,
Also if it's an automatic gearbox-they aren't as economical as 'manuals',especially on short runs.
