That's it can't take anymore
It's going up for sale.finally finished off the clutch today and got it off the drive to test it and wheel caves in.think the wishbone bolt thread was knackered after tapping it through the clamp because of it being opened up too far.this car has literally made me ill over the last 2 years and caused grief with the missus so watch this space it will be for sale on here shortly after I have replaced the driveshaft.seen an octavia vrs which I fancy.

On the other hand are you telling us after booling off the driveway, your lower balljoint on the track control arm "fell out"??? If that's the case, try this Jack up the car, remove the front wheel, remove the pinch bolt and this time make sure the pin of the ball joint is fully home, you can jack it up under the ball joint once it's entered into the swivel hub, to make sure It simply is a case of the groove in the pin not having been aligned with the bolt hole in the swivel hub, because even if the bolt was finger tight it wouldn't fall out of the hub So pop your driveshaft back together, and try again, don't give up simply because you've had two years of catastrophe, that's part of the fun Brian |

I was always told to put the tools away, call it a night and have another look tomorrow if I was at the end of my tether.
