You'll have to unclip the bonnet liner to check whether the feed tubes are supplying the nozzles. If when pulled off the nozzles they aren't flowing, the water bottle will have to be accessed, easier with the bumper off.

Your filter in the bottle will be full of gunge. Bumper off and remove pump to clean the suction filter. I filled my bottle with a bleach mixture to clean out gunge then rinsed it with clean water

I could not get mine unblocked and had to change one of them. A suggestion is to use Ford Focus ones, MK III I think as the spray pattern is better.

Don't buy the foreign (Focus) copies, they rust!!! Don't ask me how I know!!! I cleared my Rover ones by soaking in vinegar first, and then a strong washing up liquid solution. An airline did the rest - bubbles everywhere!

Very apt timing, as I have the bumper off ATM. Does the pump just "pull out"? Does it need any new o-rings, or anything, when refitting back in? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes
Nope, the grommet the pump sits in is the filter, you'll see when you remove it. Give that a wash in hot soapy water, flush the tank a few times with a warm mild bleach solution then rinse with clean water, refit everything, sorted. You get a build up of jelly like gunk in the bottom of the tank, the bleach solution will flush it out through the hole the pump sits in. Last edited by stevestrat; 19th February 2018 at 12:03.. |

Quick photo of what the filter looks like, why would I have one in front of me ? well because I need to do the exact same job in the next day or so, but I will be doing it by removing the triangle quarter tray under the car, and peeling back the wheel arch liner.
I may remove the bumper if I feel that the bottle needs a very good clean out which it may do. Arctic PS Another good way to unblock the spray nozzle, is to remove the tube from the nozzle then using a bike pump with the adapter cut off push the tube on the nozzle and pump away it should shoot any gunk out of the spray nozzle.

Blocked Windscreen Washer Jets
I've found that mixing different screen liquids can cause this problem. After having cleaned (my) whole system I now use the same screen wash every time with no problems. If you have your car serviced make sure they do not top up your screen wash reservoir with another brand.
