Suspension specs ?
How'do folks
I've replaced my front suspension with some complete assemblies - Green/Yellow, CI codes PA/JA - the same as was on the car does anyone know how comfort spec relates to coding/colouring just curious to see what comfort/ride option I have from the range Paul. |

it seems i may have came to the wrong assumption somehow that there were different suspension Comfort options offered on the 75 (?)
when i was ordering new parts i noted the chart on Rimmers - it appeared to show 3 options for the 1.8, 3 for v6 and 3 for coal burners - front there were other options later in the list - however i assumed the initial 3 options per engine related to 3 comfort or ride options offered by Rover as i was SURE....lol.... I had read somewhere of Rover offering this as an option Current searching seems to suggest i was mistaken - all i can find is an option for "Sports" suspension at purchase. which makes me wonder why all the varying codes for springs and dampers for any one engine ? is there any relation to manual vs auto and the variation of codes ? my codes are a match - but i'm curious to know the reasoning behind the codes Paul |

........ a little maybe
it suggests the ZT offered a Comfort and a Sports option - and i've seen on the (Facelift era) 75 sales brochure an option for "Sports" suspension. I still can't see any info as to why - the 1.8 for instance has a CI code PA and JA as in my cars case - P=right J=left - and spring REB101380 for both sides. there are also options for (still 1.8) PB/JB and PC/JC with spring codes - REB101390(B) and REB101400(C) all 3 use the same damper code RND105321(right), RND105331(left) and the springs have green/yellow, green/brown and green/purple colour coding relating to the A B or C there are another 2 variations for the 1.8 without being MG or "Sports" so why the different spring codes ? lol...i'm sure i'm making this more confusing Paul. |

My R75 2.5 V6 from 2003 has factory sports suspension and MG steering rack. Besides being stiff and lowered, the lable underneath the seats has the part codes for sports ones. On my bill , it says optional extra "sports handling pack". Got no ideea why MGR complicated this suspension stuff so so so bad. Should be Rover comfort suspension and MG suspension and thats it.

I’m sure someone at mgr talked himself into ‘director of spring technology’
Make as many different variants as possible, confuse everyone whilst doing so and no one will challenge his authoritahhhh 🤣🤣🤣

I`m changing my front arm's at every oil change because of this sports suspension that got into production on a COMFORTABLE ROVER 75! According to the list, I have found the right spec comfort suspension for my rear axle but front is still a mistery.
