Default Damage to rear bumper

Not a lot as i just nudged it, but it connected an inch or so to the left of the rear chrome bumper strip where it meets the bit that wraps around down the side of the drivers side.Hard enough, however, to pop the strip a bit out and crease it badly. Very slight vertical line from top of bumper for about 6". It has, creased to top section a little and split/crazed the paint. It's hardly noticeable really but i was really annoyed with myself for doing it and no matter what I do, I cannot help but see it.
Going to try the old heat gun trick to see if I can make it all better, but think the best I can hope for is to minimise what i have done. On the lookout for a spares car, but they are few and far between on the West Coast of Oz and bagging one in Moonstone, as good bodily as the one I already have, will prove impossible. Shipping ex East coast will cost a packet for anything other than small parts.
Rats!!!!!!!!
