I read the TV guide write up and it says a high speed pursuit of an unusual getaway car from a bygone era,but didn't say what.Must be a 1.8T then

Looked like the colour was Dorchester and it had a manual gearbox. Couldn't quite make out the rev counter but I think it was a petrol car.

Certainly got a bat on.Stolen and returned to it's owner.Happened in East Yorkshire I think it said.Ironic that one of the coppers chasing it started his working life at Rover. He was very complementary of it

Speaking of this, watching it now and there was a drink driver stopped after being grassed up. Turns out he’s been done 3 times before, claims to have been in the forces and the police haven’t done or seen what he’s seen and done in his time ,policeman says he has seen plenty, .after attending accidents where someone has been drinking. He blew 77 at the roadside, and back at the station was saying his business was ruined, and his 10 employees would be out of work as a result.
No sympathy from me whatsoever, three previous convictions haven’t taught him anything, he only got banned for 18 months fined 90 and a victim surcharge of £85. Should have been banned for life, licence taken away for good. 18 months will be served,he will be back behind the wheel and drink driving again, lazy s0d only lived half a kilometre from the pub anyway

The officer was complimentary about the 75. Gentlemans conveyance, touch of class, rare car. The off-roading, along with pranging the drivers door, didn't do a lot of good. The rear silencer confirms a 1.8.

I thought the phrase "turn of the century getaway car" made my '75 seem positively ancient!!
