1.8T always hot from heater
Our 1.8T is going well, and is a joy to use. It is however getting very hot inside, and it appears that whatever we do, the heater oozes hot air, only a matter of fan or no fan.
We have just had the compressor for the A/C replaced, it had lost part of the casing for the inlet pipe, so the compressor and the A/C works. Just seems silly to have the A/C fighting the heater! I am toying with the idea of fitting a mechanical valve in the one heater pipe, to physically stop water entering the heater matrix, but if anyone has a pointer otherwise, it would be much appreciated. Oh, and a Merry Christmas to everyone!!

The flaps in your heater have become stuck in the open position.--It could be an electrical fault or hinge seizure.

It would be worth running the ATC unit diagnostics.
