wind noise from windscreen area
Hi, I am on my 2nd 75 cdti. Both facelifts, 1st was a tourer, now a saloon.
The saloon seems to have a lot more wind noise from the windscreen area. Once you go beyond 40-50 mph is it noticeable. What could cause this? There are no water leaks anywhere but it does have non standard wiper blades on and seem to be more prominent than the original types. Couldn't be that surely? |

Has the car had a replacement windscreen? Often the trims around the screen aren't refitted correctly.

I have the same problem, the wind noise in the cabin is really noticeable, especially while driving on the motorway. On mine, some clips are broken (below the chrome trim), I guess that's the reason why .. I've gaffer taped the windscreen trim to find the source of the noise, but unfortunately that didn't change anything. Then, my mechanic removed the trim and showed me the broken clips ! The previous owner had the windscreen replaced too, they maybe didn't change the clips, or they've put cheap quality clips, who knows Try with gaffer tape, you'll maybe find the source. |
