You got it then, excellent and it looks to be in good condition from the pictures.
A nice early VIN 'S reg' as featured on the front cover of Autocar (if anyone's got a copy) VIN 001194 and this pre-dates the club's 'S Reg' S525 OVP, by 2 cars, so officially the earliest example in the club now Has it got low line nav, I can't see cos the steering wheels in the way |

A real classic.
What history does she have? I expect she has a story to tell and looks as though she has been loved and cared for |

Well done
Congratulations on the acquisition of the current earliest example in the club, Lewis. I know it will give you so much pleasure.
From the keeper of the current latest example.

Looks good Lewis. I saw it had been withdrawn from Ebay. Can one ask what you got it for? The wheels look to be in great nick - unusual for Crowns to be well cared for.
Well done.

'eer, I know it's a work in progress, shoe-horned in around people's availabilty and work commitments, but to be fair on Pete, he did give a lengthy update only a week ago Anyway, hijack over, back to LJW, Lewis it would be very interesting to see how close the build dates are between these two, with only one other car between them off the production line, it is highly likely they were finished the same day (and you've touched both of them). Any chance you could take a look at the date on the fuel filter cap under the rear seat squab, or maybe find a date hidden under one of the trim pieces, if you can, then maybe Lates could take a look at OVP too, and see how close they are. Now I wonder where the missing sibling is VIN 001195 ? |
