Just passed her mot again no issues great!!
Rover 75 just passed her 9th year on her MOT
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My Rover 75 Tourer passed on friday her 6th MOT and 9th year in service with flyling colours. This car has never failed the MOT yet and no advisories either. What makes it superb its done 181000 miles and still on the same clutch and diesel fuel pumps and every thing else. What MG Rover placed on her is still on her AMAZING.....I have never replaced a spring or gator or bush or any part at all. In fact the exhaust is still original. The car is totally original except for discs/pads of course. It is without doubt the best car I have ever bought brand new and still have it and not likely to get rid either. marvellous car , and great car company MG ROVER..

Mine's nearly 179,000 on the original clutch - 04 CDT Facelift. However it's first 3 years was as a high mileage company car doing nearly 40,000 per year mostly on motorways.
The first spring broke this year!

The clubs oldest exmple just gone through aswell. Needed the handbrake adjusted on the right hand disc. Tester said it was in great shape! Just done: Linköping - Copenhagen - Hook of Holland - Harwich - Bournemouth - Harwich - Esbjerg (Denmark) - Linköping. No probs. Having the belts done at the end of the month

The garage where i go have also said thats the highest mileage motor the have. They used to be MG Rover but mainly fords now, but MG Rover cars still go in there to get serviced and maintained etc.
The Garage still have a soft spot for Rovers and love working on them. The fords are mostly got rid of by their owners after 60.000 miles. But the Rover owners make the Rovers stay in service, thats what there custom base is like, they informed me. The Rover I have is knocking out around 500 miles a week and still cuts the mustard...great . These 75's are the best Rover car since the SD1 and the P6...they are in the same class also as the P5. The springs are in good shape..but the key points from me is the clutch and the diesel pumps, they are in excellent working order still and have no signs of packing up?. I really believe this car will do 200.000 miles on this clutch and pumps. The car always going in for a service bang on the 15.000 miles servicing requirements, just like Rover suggested when it was built. I never take it in before that, I like to think if its built to do that then 15.000 miles it is, even if the mileometer states its running over after say 13.000 miles. It seems to be a great policy, and giving dividends back GREAT MOTOR CAR COMPANY AND A TRUE ROVER CAR.
