Are you sure it’s not a council tax rebate as I thought the energy loan was later in the year.

It's all to help with the COLC so each to their own and this one is ours to keep, so it cost me nowt to heat the bungalow last month.

The one later in the year is a loan, not sure of the details of how that will work though.

Whatever they say, because you have to pay it back (without interest even) it is in fact 'indebted' so a loan. I don't flippin' want a loan noted against my name.

I, we, have never borrowed any money from anybody. So, my carefully planned life is despoiled by these charlatans. And I am very very angry. I hope one of them, or even two, have the nerve to knock on my door....looking for votes or anything else...

Thanks! We have been careful and modest. I've never had a credit card, it's a debit card so only used when the funds are in the black. On the other hand, I've had to be tight.

I started off with mid/late teens savings from gigging (nobody famous) and later was lucky to find a job that let me use my er, persuasive nature. Then my own business which was initially hard work and very long hours which led to bigger things. Mind you, my car is 20 years old and I've never bought a new one. My biggest asset? Celia. With me all the way.

Why decline a council tax rebate,two years of my council tax cost more than I paid for the house and because it’s band f I will not be getting it so if you want to donate it to a poor OAP I will send you my bank details.

I've done the same, from August to November 1991 I was sleeping in a MK2 Escort on a pub carpark, I was 26 at the time. By the time I was 31 I'd bought my house without a mortgage so it is possible if the luck runs your way. It's been quite a journey to get nowhere fast.
