I want to have a large pic of an extended middle finger screen printed onto the outer side of my electric rear blind..... perfect for just such situations.

Cool

Why not a polite reminder using 2-3 flashes of the hazard lights,if ignored move on to phase 2 ?

Er, one thing I noticed when I changed from 195's to 205's on 15" wheels was that the speedo reading stepped closer to the satnav speed reading.

Speedos are allowed to overread (i.e. 30mph shown at real 28mph) but not the other way round. Could it be a combo of smaller rolling radius tyres compounding somewhat optimistic speedos that means that we believe we're doing 30 when in fact we're doing 27?

Some people see the speed limit as mandatory and find anyone doing just a few mph under it annoying...

ON OCCASSION if ive experienced a particularly bad tailgater I pull over, immediately pull up behind the offender and give him/her a taste of their own medicine. I only do this if traffic is sparse and the road clear and straight. People sometimes need to experience what they do to others before they understand.
Before anyone comments I do not consider this an ideal solution especially at speed.

Im considering investing in a rear cam anyone have one of these?
Don`t the "fogs" need the other lights to be on to work??
Ken.

It was fab before I fixed the Intercooler Hose on my Diesel Tourer. I'd just put my foot down and give them a quick burst of black soot in their face. Worked every time.

Man, I really hate tailgaters - it's just straight forward bullying.
One reason I'll shortly be getting a dashcam, along with one of these warning stickers:

Or even:

I've heard of people realigning one of the windscreen washer jets to spray over the car onto the one behind for tailgaters.

Took my son to school this morning and something brilliant happened

I was quite happily motoring along at the 60 mph limit along the A75 towards Stranraer and I could see this car approaching fast in my rear view mirror Just in front of me was a Transit doing about 55mph so, my speed dropped off a little and, in a flash this knob that was approaching fast was there, 2 foot off my rear, all I can see is his number plate in my mirror Did the brake dab which worked for a short while then he was back, riding the white line as well
The Transit turned off so it was just me then, back up to 60mph and he's still there, pushing. About a mile further on, he hits the gas and overtakes me across a load of chevrons and about a couple yards over a solid white line.
Just on the horizon, on a small lane just off the A75, I can see the roof of a black car, yes, it was the local unmarked BMW traffic car It swiftly set off in persuit of the knob and, low and behold, a couple of miles further on, he's collared

Made my day has that

There is no sign of a tailgater in this shot Alan 'Moonstone Sunset'
