I was having the "not warm starting" problem. Changed the fuel filter and did the "dump a can of it in the filter" trick. Not had the problem since.

Thanks. Will stick with the in tank one for now. Come fuel filter change in future, I'll do it that way too.

Regarding the "in the fuel filter over night" route: What are the thoughts on some of it running down passed the piston rings. Surely best done the night before an oil change????

Can't remember it making much difference to be honest - they were working fine beforehand, but I had a problem with the Freelander smoking a bit on cold start ups so thought I might as well order two bottles while I was at it.

Made a difference with the Landy.

Default Cleaner

Give it an Italian tune-up: 4000 rpm for 5 miles in 3rd will do it. And cheaper.

Forte has been proven to clean injectors that have been reading way over normal on T4.

I've been looking for Petrol (Injector) Redex but couldn't find it. Just discovered they no longer do Petrol (Injector) and Petrol (Carburetor), its plain Petrol or Diesel now.
Are you sure about that, Halfords and Amazon still list Redex specifically for petrol injectors, as opposed to all purpose as you suggest.

I was reading something a few days ago about Forte being taken over by Wynns and that the bottle contents were not the same anymore. It was also mentioned that some of the Forte directors created a new company.

I get forte from Amazon or ebay.. I also use redex - tip it all in for a long journey. I also put 2 stroke oil in now and again, smooths the engine off and quietens it down..
