Electric Driver's seat

So ... I've swapped out the seat ECU for a definitely working one, and ... not a sausage!

Does it need to be enabled with a T4?

The Memory seat set does a nice "Bing" but no movement in any direction.
I've checked the fuses etc but am now very stumped

Update:
I have checked the wiring under the seat for all the wires that should have 12 volts and the ones with ground. All seems okay, also tested them at the point where they go into the ECU.

I've reseated all the connections including on the seat switches, still nothing

I need to get this done for the MOT so any help would be happily received.

If I completely fail, would a manual seat fit on the same bolt holes?

T4 Not required, Many have retro fitted where no loom present, I believe they picked up the power from the cigar lighter circuit.

All of the wires are reading correctly going into the ECU, so I know that's all okay.

I thought I'd check it this morning and was going to put a load across the back/forward motor, but before that I thought I'd check which was positive and which was negative.

I discovered that both the terminals were giving ground continuity ... Also when unplugged it's giving continuity across the terminals. So, not sure if that would blow a fuse if I tried to hard wire it

I'm about to give up and buy a complete scrap seat.

Did you flick the switch? I once had to fix a stereo install for the illumination lead went to earth until lights were turned on.

Well, I had to travel quite a distance to get them, but bought a full set of used seats.

Wired it up and worked perfectly.

I checked the Seat ECUs that I have and they worked too, so it looks like my guess at it being one of the motors is correct, though I'm guessing it's the hall sensor.

Anyone got any idea how I test them as I'll probably want to sell the working ones.

I've put the two working ECUs up for sale, and if anyone wants any other seat spares, black leather including cushions and squabs, pretentioners etc please PM me.
