Default Rover SV in Paignton today!

Went across the road this morning to have a look at the local car show on the green.

Very first car, at the entrance, what a surprise!!

The car has done only 2000 miles, driven to shows and back.

Owned by a very knowledgeable chap called john, seen standing beside the car.

Apologies for the poor quality mobile phone pictures, and I don't know how to get the portrait one the right way up.

So are many other parts ie rear lights but it would make no difference to me I'd still have one.

I asked the owner to describe the driving experience, was more like a Ferrari or a TVR?

He said he had owned and driven both,

"this wasn't like either, I guess you could say it was responsive, but that doesn't really capture it!"

"I get a little scared when I drive it in city traffic, I would say it is all balls and no trousers!"

"A little bit like a proper Cobra, but on steroids!"

Fantastic car to see, Phil. It was the ultimate 'last roll of the dice' for MGR, wasn't it?

"Right, Lads! We've scraped together about 87 quid in the company; what shall we do with it?"

"Let's blow it all on a mental V8!"

"Good call! Get on with it..."

The owner said he was close to the action at the end, he reckoned they spent around £90 million in the last few years on motor sport, project X and the SV.

To produce 71 cars, some of which they never even finished!!
