Good morning Bob, Ian, Richard - welcome to the day

Richard I think it’s daring of you going out on a bike with a helmet. Are you talking bicycle or motorcycle? Just curious.
It’s just a bike, I did pass my motorbike a lot of years ago, but the bike is giving me a lot more exercise than just walking, I need to lose some weight from my body weight and appear fitter.

Thank you for explaining Richard and thank you for being sensible in wearing a helmet. Over the years when I worked in the air ambulance, the number of times I used to attend people who had come off their bikes sustaining serious head through not wearing a hard hat or a helmet, so full marks to you and all the best in losing the weight, not easy as there is so much good food to eat everywhere.

After my last op I lost 30kg, but in the last few months because I am much better I put on 10kg. Recently I have been cutting out eating big portions and eating smaller ones so my weight doesn’t go back up.

So do keep at it. As you know as you get older and after an injury such as yours, it’s never easy to lose weight. Set a target weight of losing one kilogram or a couple of pounds each week, nothing too drastic. Your heart and general health will like it.

Sitting in the airport, flight is 14:20. Got cigs in the duty free, £10+ a pack in the UK, generally €6 a pack in the shops here, €4.60 in duty free. Got a bottle of Johnny Walker Black Bottle whisky for the old boy next door for looking after the girls.

Afternoon all.
I've just been wood staining the lid for the BBQ pedestal as it's arriving tomorrow.

BBQ by Jeff Cranwell, on Flickr

Weather set fair for the weekend so..... woodsmoke BBQ'ing it is then

Off to Colchester now for work and I think I might swerve by the Morrisons butchers on the way back

Well safely back in Blighty, rudely awoken at 4am on the ferry when the bunk bed inbtbe roof decided that it didn't want to stay in the roof!

Quite choppy it was, just glad it was calm when I was walking away from the bar....

Good morning Andy, welcome back. You have brought the good weather with you. I find travelling tiring, hopefully you will get a chance to spend the day relaxing 😌
