How is the wiring different, Tony?

I'm sure you know that you can remove the pins and move them around the plug without cutting/splicing?

Hi Eamonn

The plug shape is different on my cars wiring to the plug on the FBH, I wished it was as easy and just removing the terminals. Just got my tested one back from Keith and it has the same socket as the one I have fitted. So I will not have to find the correct plug and cut/splice the plug!!

The fitting took i suppose about 50 minutes, the hardest thing was removing the rear seat to get to the wiring for the fuel pump. It all went very well apart from the wiring on the FBH and the fuel pump.

I will be playing about with it over the weekend, so hopefully it will be up and running by Sunday

I think my fuel pump has finally arrived, there is a package for collection at the PO. So it looks like I too will be fitting at the weekend - weather permitting.

I would just double check both the connections on both the fuel pump and the 6 pin connector on the FBH before you start the install. you will still be able to go ahead with everything else even if they are the wrong types, if you need any help just email me and I will give you my mobile number.

Cheers Tony.

My PCB is the later type, so the pins should be the same on my car connector. I will double, triple and quadruple check before I connect, though .

I had that panic when doing my install, I bet the connector on the car has a blanking plug inserted- It threw me for a good 10 minutes

Derr, what a dope, just been out to the car, and Steve is quite right it is a blanking plug,!!!! removed it and it goes right into the FBH connector. now all I have to do is get some speaker terminals (small spade connectors) , don't suppose I have made a mistake on the fuel connector as well did I??
