I have the invoice for my Connie SE for $75800 (£40,000) in 2004.

I guess at that price the original owner couldn't afford Rain Sensors or Powerfolds.

Just bear in mind though, that even before the factory closed, it wasn't difficult to get between 20-25% discount off those prices if you haggled hard!

Yes, whilst it was still trading!

The 50% discounts didn't start until after the factory closed!

Here is a May 2004 printout from the MG Rover website, the list price is printed on the spec.

The handwritten price is JCT 600 first offer price. After more haggling I actually paid £16,500, well over 20% discount.

My ZT was not sold when Rover was trading. According to the list on the first page its not surprising as it had £7625 worth of extras!

Thanks Dave!

Back in the days when the Motor Trade had some margins to play with!

I now sell a product that only has a 6% margin and you're supposed to be able to keep the customer happy with discount/over-allowance and make a profit!

Is there a similar price list for the accessories?

I have looked but must be missing it.

According to the list the original price for my ZT was £22,995
Registered on the 22nd of May 2003.
I purchased it on 27th of June 2015 for £700
Depreciated by £22,255 in 12 years and 1 month.
I don't understand how that is even possible considering the condition of my ZT is absolutely stunning.
