Morning all - that pesky wind has suddenly turned bitterly cold again - it could flay the pelt off a dead beaver (not that we have many of those in Guisborough). It's Friday - so it's larder refill day again - although I must admit that the weekly shop is somewhat less damaging to the pocket than it was when my daughter lived at home

Hope Derek is OK this morning - he hasn't posted since yesterday afternoon, although has been on-line this morning - could be Lillian checking on his behalf?

I think the last I saw was that he was awaiting a call from the quack (no disrespect to the medical profession - we've called 'em all quacks for years) ?

Took a fancy for a curry tonight so nipped along to the local Co-op. They have a charity book thing next to the door, always have a glance but it’s usually Danielle Steel or Mills & Boon bodice rippers! Looked at the books on the way out as usual, spotted one, “White Line Fever” . . . . Lemmy’s autobiography! I have a feeling it won’t be for the feint of heart, man is a legend, should have either drank or drugged himself to death years ago.
