Talking Rave - legal and available online

I have read the forum rules very carefully regarding this particular subject matter and conclude that I am not in danger by sharing this information.

Some of you may be aware that I have undertaken some major challanges regarding my automatic gearbox.

I needed some reference material, I turned to haynes but wanted more information....

I looked on line for emanuals and found a company offering an emanual for a Rover75 ( I must stress at this point I did not know what I would be getting).

The charge was 10 pounds for a down load, for a tenner I thought it was a punt.

I paid my money and downloaded the 3.5MB file....it was RAVE !!

Having read this forum and understanding this has been an issue, I immediatly contacted the company (who have offices in Germany, London and the USA)

I have been assured that this download was totally ligimate and that the company concerned have purchased the right to download RAVE.

So there you have it, a legal version of RAVE, availabe for 10 english pounds, available online!

Should a senior member of the forum wish I will share off line with them the full details so this can be tested.

I am not in anyway linked to this company AND I am convinced I am discussing a legimate software download.

Good to know, great to share....

Simon

I think Rave might be a bit bigger than 3.5mb! In fact I know it is, as the latest version is 2GB

I will watch this with interest - sounds much better than paying £46ish (I think) for the paper copy, which I understand doesn't have all the info anyway.

P.S. What does RAVE stand for anyway?

That's interesting, surely that doesn't all fit on one CD? 700MB for a CD?
