Default My mg zt 190

As you well know I bought a mg zt 190 2005 with 55000 miles for around 900 and a part ex of my passat 1.8t which was poor. Any way I love mg ZT's there engine tone and looks are so unique from other sporty German saloons but it drives just as well in my book and with a couple of simple mods can keep up with the best of them comfortabley as a bmw 330i found out on the m1 on the way back from Phil t4. Any point is I have had to revamp this little beast quite alot and hope it is worth it in the long run as I'm looking to keep it 5+ years. So far I have:

Fitted plenum drain cover
Plenum cover from Jules
Cleaned plenum
Changed rear discs and pads
Changed all cam seals
Kv6 belt changed and all the pulleys etc
Oil changed
Coolant bled and changed
Spoiler boomerang fitted
Handbrake compensator fitted
Led number plate bulbs changed
Interior lights changed to blue leds
Revotec fan fitted with gold resistor
Vis motors changed
Dodgy speedo airbag light taped up fixed

To do/needs doing

Lower engine mount
Light seals changed and sealed
Side trim screws sealed due to damp in rear footwell
Rear carpet pulled and dried footwell sanded and de rusted and treated.
Airbags under seat hardwired
New led tail lights fitted
Alloy center caps replaced and alloys refurb Ed
Inlet manifold gaskets changed.

Am I going over the top 😂😂 love the car though and hoping with all that done will do me a good turn for years to come.

Nothing mate to be honest car drives like brand new I won't mention speeds etc but we came up to traffic I slowed and pulled into middle Lane and he opened the window and said "what is that!!! Lol you can't miss it in the trophy blue" I obviously replied gave a cheeky grin and off I went.
Yes Phil fitted fitted the belts with ease top geezer and banter. Just hope the car is worth all this work in the long run 😉

The car exterior is mint looked after and garaged but previous owner was a cow boy and took it to mechanics who didn't have a clue rover wise and it was mistreated hence all the work. When engine was stripped belts were out of time cam covers melted broken bolts missing from engine mounts stuff loose all over the place non working Vis motors wrong oil in the car to thin. L shape pipe for coolant the clip at top of the pipe not at the bottom so passing coolant fan wasn't working properly you name it. but Phil sorted it all.
