Default Someone went into my Rover 75

Sadly my 75 was in a incident while parked up and has damaged the passenger side currently the damage is trying to be resolved privately but if they're not cooperative it's a insurance job and will most likely get written off finger's crossed it can be resolved privately

You got your 75 on the road now? I thought you were still working on it.

Thomas. Be very careful of having it done privately. Have you reported it to your insurance? If you have not, and you try to report it much later because the other party involved gives you the run around, you may find you have difficulty getting it accepted. The insurance company may turn round and ask why you did not report it straight away, and could be awkward. I know because I was in that exact position many years ago because the other party thought they could get away with not paying for the damage.

I'd second that. Someone hit my Golf recently and offered to sort out compensation without involving the insurance. Later they started being difficult about it, but as I'd informed my insurers at the time of the incident, all is all being sorted out satisfactorily at no cost to me.
