I have not been able to swallow any painkillers for the toothache as I kept throwing up. Today the vomiting has stopped and I can take them: paracetamol, codeine, Ibuprofen. Ghastly really, but apparently there is always someone who is always worse off. The thing is, when the going is tough, I have to man up......

The friends we are staying with, have the builders in to carry out repairs on the house roof. This morning they had to remove the birds nests from the eaves. There was a bees nest up there and the bats, all of the lads got stung by the bees. Fortunately we had Piriton and gave out the tablets. Unfortunately it’s the type that will make them sleepy ....hey ho!

Bad luck about the horse flies biting you Bob, that’s the last thing you want. Get well soon.

Welcome to the lounge Thomas, your safe here.... we don’t bite, but we might bark and jest
Eek......nasty Phil, get yourself better boss!

Remember fishing up the north west a few years ago. Usual problem is midges but this particular little loch for some reason it was clouds of horse flies or clegs as they are more commonly known up here. There were some nice trout in the wee loch (got a couple) so I ended up chain smoking to get a bit of peace.

No not yet Dawn! We popped to the convent the other week as they have a rather splendid second hand store there.

Deb was laughing as she’s not witnessed my fear of nuns before!

Last time "Nessie" was spotted was not long after I got caught short at the edge of the loch.

Seriously considering Cumberland sausage and chips . . . . chips = potato = veg = salad.

Dip ‘em in mayonnaise for that authentic salad taste

Err . . . . ok. A hotel in Edinburgh is going to serve Lorne sausage ice cream to celebrate national ice cream day on Sunday. Apparently it'll be served on a brioche bun with toffee sauce to represent HP sauce. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotla...-fife-44808966

Personally sausage flavoured ice cream sounds disgusting!
