Help please. Flooded plenum
Have owned the the MGZT CDTi for 12 years and cleaned out the plenum drains many times but missed it at last service and then foolishly ignored the warning sign of the windscreen misting from the vents. Heavy downpour, ECU wet and the in tank fuel pump stopped. Sent ECU off for rebuild which sorted the fuel pump circuit but now the check engine light illuminates and the cooling fan runs on fast as soon as ignition is turned on.
Have tried a new temperature sender, tried changing the engine fuse box relay. No bent pins on ECU. The wires from ECU plug to sender and to relay show low resistance ( 0.2 ohm ) I have the following message on OBD2 “ Can Link ECM ABSCM Circuit Network Malfunction” and “ Engine coolant temp sensor 1 Circuit Low” The ECU has been rebuilt again and I have tried a Freelander ECU. Fault still present. Any advice please? |

Many thanks for the advice. Sent ECU to BigRuss for programming and had it back within a day. Engine runs beautifully, no warning light and fans function correctly. Very helpful and great service. Delighted to have car back working - I thought it might to go for breaking
