Thanks Ched,

I'm sure when I remove the bumper, it will all look much clearer. I lifted the beam as far as it would go a few years ago, but it is possible it may have dropped again slightly.

Default Re bumper sag

I was told the best way is to lift the bumper beem to its highest point refit bumper and use 5 4mm washers across the front bolts above the grille. When tightening up pull bumper in towards the engine and fully tighten. Makes a hell of a difference. This idea came from a club member.

I have some stainless washes at the top, can't remember how many. It did help, but my wife still says it looks like the bonnet is open lol.

I have the same problem with my facelift ZT.
It looks dreadful. The bumper has been off a couple of times for various reasons and it's so bad it does look like bonnet is open also!

Is this something that could be done at a Nano meet to do a show and tell to help others achieve a closer gap between the bumper and wings / bonnet?

Just a thought.

Richard

that is a good idea for a nano and also maybe a pride of longbrige rally. I love to come allong and show support for the club, but dont really need anything doing and anyway dont want to strip my car in a field with little tools and the chance of something breaking leaving me stranded. These events for me is a drive there and a drive back and not much else. Some focus on a "gather arround and we will show you how to", would be educational and also a great focus for the event. Ive also had a couple of goes at the bonnet gap, but its still not great.
