Ahh. Interesting. Thanks for that nugget Steve. I may (or may not) go down the 15” steel route. Need to ponder (as I wait for the 16” tyres on the car to wear out!).

Have you thought of DIY? Not as good as a professionally done job and you can only do what you are not using; buying a full size spare if you have a space saver + one other. When the tyres need replacing get the worn ones off, clean up by blending out minor kerb marks and remove the blistering paint. Blend all with abrasive cloth and water and spray with a few coats what ever is available that matches. Not perfect but looks good if your not on your hands and knees changing a wheel, working on the brakes, changing a light bulb etc. and a lot cheaper!
