We're talking about Scotland not Finland It all depends where you are heading for, very rarely get snow of any consequence here. In the south of Scotland its probably no different to where you are, north of the central belt (Edinburgh-Glasgow) is where it can get interesting.

Got to be nothing! I just did a check of the weather in Aviemore Feb this year, lowest temp was -1 and it rained for nearly half the month, no snow. Take waterproofs not snow tyres

Never used winter tyres in Scotland or any were else for that matter. If its bad i stay put and enjoy a family conversation instead.
This was taken at just south of th Cairngorms..
