Default Sweets n strangers

I remember those ads from the 70s in which the boy and his cat would say " Charlie says never speak to strangers..."

So you offering up the sweets for me to arrange a viewing of your car somewhat worries me..

You are depriving yourself of a great pleasure by not accepting my offer, but so be it.

By not viewing my Rover, that is, so there's no misunderstanding.

For all those who miss not being able to criticize Wurzel - it was really quite thoughtless of the owner whose name escapes me to leave the forum just because of undeserved criticism - here is another opportunity to have a ball.

Do feel free to criticise anything and everything about my car for sale.

All are welcome!

With your comment, I am expecting buyers to start gazumping each other and offer me fudge for a viewing!
Never mind fudge. Come to our next East Anglian breakfast meet. Date still to be decided. Regards Graham

I really have no idea what all that meant.
But I have never claimed to be very clever.

I have returned to advertise my CDT for sale on the forum.

Please gentlemen, feel free to comment in this thread on my exorbitant asking price, the undeclared faults that you can all see in the photographs, the undesirable colour of the brake pipes etc.

This is your opportunity to really have a ball!

The few with no interest in cars but a focus on world affairs can even discuss how the failure of socialism may have contributed to this working class peasant having to sell his Rover, if you so wish.

Let's see your best efforts!
"The rear bumper has a bruise on the OS corner and the front NS bumper has a bruise around the indicator - see photos."

"The reversing sensors were bleeping continuously when reversing at the time we purchased the car and I simply removed the fuse. I have never felt the need for these on a car of this size"

Have your views on the above comments changed at all?

"Non-negotiable price: £1500. The price is fixed and aggressive negotiations will not be entertained. Anyone trying the 'say nothing' tactic may find it a very quiet/lonely couple of hours sitting in my garden with a cup of tea on their own!"

Would supper be an option for very quiet people?

Finally, I'm not sure socialism would have allowed you to own a 75 in the first place!

P.S. Good luck with the sale, if I'd been closer and not downsizing I could well have been tempted.

Hi Graham.

Please forgive me. I thought th theme of this thread was to let members ridicule th car sale (Which happens from time to time). I then miss read your post thinking you were saying that people had problems in organising meets in th same sort of way (a joking pastiche). So i added there usual replies.
