What's a reasonable price for a clutch ?
Hi all,
I've bought my first 75 a few weeks ago - it's a 1.8 petrol non-T 2003 with 58,000 on the clock. Although the gear change is OK when the car is cold, after driving for an hour or so the gear changes both up and down become tiresome. And reverse is the most difficult. I'm not sure whether the cluch has been changed since new, but the clutch pedal is quite heavy. I'm presiming it needs replacing. Before I swim with the sharks, can anyone suggest a reasoable price for a full cluch ? Any advice welcome. Cheers, Tony in Manchester. |

Prices range from £350 to £600 ish depending on where you go and what components are used, avoid cheap parts is my advice, and use a garage that you trust (And one that knows ours cars if possible)

Thanks Trikey - My nearest ex-Rover garage is Horner's in Swinton, which is not on my doorstep but might be worth a call.
