Default Light on license plate will not stay on.

Would anyone know where the link is to fix the license plate light?

I cut and paste the below from another thread but it did not point to the relevant thread

"Basically over the years water gets into the fitting and degrades the moulded circuit at the rear of the lamp holder stopping a power supply getting to the bulb holder thus rendering the bulb useless"

With a few holes drill in the assembly and (very importantly) severing the existing circuit I re-wired the lights back to the existing spades
