Default will Not Start

Drove my 2.5 home last night from work,no problems at all parked it up on the drive, turned the key a dull noise.whilst it will turn over it just will not start, all the lights remain on the dash board but the engine will not start had a quick look under the bonnet everything seems to be in order.

Any ideas

Most likely the fuel filter has come apart. http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/down...ile=tid005.pdf

Do a search for "FOC" Fabled Orange Clip. The how to suggests using self tapping screws to lock it the clip is the proprietary method.

Also look up "FFS" (Fuel Filter Syndrome) and the HowTos on removing the rear seat cushion and servicing the fuel filter. Buy the FOC rather than risking damage to the filter module by drilling holes in it. See the sticky on the Fabled Orange Clip. It gives part number and sources. Print off the relevant stuff and take it to a trusted garage. Few non-specialist garages will have a clue about this problem.
