Default 75 CDT exaust system

I am looking for a new rear silencer and pipe for my facelift 75 CDT tourer, my current one was fitted five years ago and needs replacing, my original one was of the clamshell type and was replaced with a standard oval type silencer, I am having difficulty sourcing the original type as described which I understand was made my Klarius.

Can anyone point me to a supplier of the original " Clamshell" type?

Matt has these https://www.dmgrs.co.uk/collections/...cg000301-oem-q . They are saloon, so need the tips extended to fit the tourer - on the 75 that would be extended with turn downs.

Cheers,
Glenn

The originals were made by Bosal

You can get a clamshell type silencer from Klarius, it's for the V6 but the diameter of the pipe is the same, for a tourer the outlet pipes are a bit shorter.
Last time I looked they were about £56.

Thanks for your help but it's not quite what I am looking for because the inlet pipe is also at the wrong angle this box is designed for petrol V6, this would necessitate quite a bit of modification to fit the tourer centre pipe, plus at £170 a little pricey in my opinion, thanks very much anyway

Hi macafee.

The one you refer to is a current Klarius listing but not the "Clamshell" type I am looking for, the one I have on my car is of the type you mention with the oval silencer, the original type is far quieter than the oval type and it is this type I am looking for but as yet to no avail.

Thanks for your help anyway.

The image shown is the type I am looking for.

Hi Trikey

From what I can see the outlet pipes would have to be modified as well as the inlet which would have to be joined to the CDT inlet which is at a different angle, my car is booked in for early October for fitting so I've got 6 weeks to source the part I'm looking for.

Thanks for your help anyway.

I purchased one last week from ECP with the usual offer code at about £90. Trikey fitted it and i am pleased with it.. It is very quiet however it was pretty quiet with the box blowing anyway!
