I'm going to swear!! BMW 320ED what do we think?
MY ZT is now 6, she is a lovely car, but as I run her as a co car she is getting a little old, I had sort of decided to go another 10 months with her and see how things pan out with nearly new car prices (they are too high at the mo)
But BMW have brought out a new 320Efficient Dynamics car which has emissions of 109gKm CO2, which gives it a super low Benefit in Kind of 13% as a company car. This makes it super tempting especially as you can lease one for sensible money, in fact it will be cheaper than the Honda Accord I looked at to lease even though 4K more to buy. I am not a BMW man except maybe a 635Csi or an old style CSL and the original shark nosed cars, but it just looks to make sense for me and the company, what does everyone think?

As it's a company car and you need to balance the books effectively then that is pretty important. You could keep the ZT as private as they are worth so little and it would be a great shame to part with a known and loved vehicle. Glad I don't have to make such a choice.

The BMW is a great package. It gives nothing away to the standard 320D but the emissions and fuel consumption are terrific.
I love the Honda Accord (had a tourer), but it's a completely different drive to the Beamer. Difficult choice though. Mick |

My dad has just selected one of these for a new company car. With the current state of the tax system its the only logical choice. We looked at mondeos, insignias etc but the BMW works out much cheaper.
His current car (Lexus IS 250) is £244 a month in tax and the BMW is about £120 with a decent spec. It also does 63mpg and 0-60 in 8 secs. I think BMW have definately got a winner here and I expect there will be a shed load of them racing up and down the M1 in the next few months. |

Yes that is just it, with all the extras I specified for my quote the tax liability is still less than my ZT, not by a fortune but still worth it.

A problem I myself have had to, due to the 5 years maximum rule.
I have gone for the Jaguar XF Coupe for work and keeping the old bus for meets and shows etc. Not worth to much and a shame to break just yet. |

I've never been a BMW fan, even before they sold Rover down the river, but that is a pretty compelling option on a damn good car.
