HERE is the current driving advice regarding EU with the speculation for the B word, we were sent this for work reasons. I was sent this via work recently because living and working in Northern Ireland, there could be issues for us driving over the border with regards to insurance permits etc, whereas our insurance policies covered North and South automatically. So check with your insurance, in case you need any kind of permit/proof.

The AA Website lists requirements country by country, it's very good

Be aware with brexit deal / no deal / no brexit etc requirements are in a state of constant change. For example if we leave with a no deal then you will probably need an insurance green card and an International Drivers Permit

Bon Voyage

I don't think it will be that bad , however, for the next year or two, I would bet British cars will be a target for a while, and you'd be wise to have every t, crossed and i dotted.

Why what you bringing over. ?
Knowing my luck the old bill will think that a new fast and the furious film is being made and asking me for autographs thinking I'm part of the cast.

I don't know what the ID requirement will be for the trip but I've just read that if needed it would be prudent to submit a passport application by Friday for unmentionable reasons here, lol.

I was prompted to look when about 45 mins ago the passport office emailed me advising of approval, printing and the posting of a passport that I applied to renew a couple of weeks back. I had to send my old one to Belfast and I am quite impressed how prompt and smooth the process has been so far. They certainly work late as the time given for dispatch in their email was 10.17 pm tonight.
