Default Reviving a Mk3 Sat Nav Computer

Hi all, doubtless this has been asked before and I just haven't found it yet but, is it possible to revive a dead Mk3 sat nav computer or is it just an expensive paper weight now?

I suspect that the previous owner didn't properly shut the sat nav down before disconnecting the power (no red light, no CD eject, no option for sat nav on highline screen)
