Whats the best polish??????

I would love to know what polish and techniques you guys use to acheive the perfect shine. I own a gorgeous silver met 75 and though i get plenty of compliments on the shine and the condition of the the car, it does nt seem to shine enough. I,ve had it machined buffed and use AutoGlym Superresin then Turtle wax Platinum polish.

Any suggestions???

Unfortunately silver is a hard colour to look stunning, using a Sealant such as Werkstat Trigger will make the metallic flake pop in sunlight. If you have removed the swirls using a good DA or Rotary then the preparation should be OK. A coat of Werkstat Prime & about 3 applications of Trigger 24 hours apart should provide as good a shine as you are likely to get on silver. I also use Autoglym Super Resin but then finish off with their Ultra Deep Shine

Hiya. I use exactly the same as you.... But I then use The Turtle wax platinum sealer on top....... Excellent in my opinion.... But as what has already been said, Silver is not a great colour to reflect that deep shine...

Autoglym Silicone Resin Polish is excellent, followed by their Extra Gloss.

Turtle Wax Platinum is an excellent product as well.

Hiya Graham.... Well, I always use Platinum now...... Turtle wax have been making polish since about the Roman times I believe...

I have in the past bought all sorts of recommended polishes.... Seems the more the unusual name though.... The more expensive it seems to be...

I am happy with what I am using now and cannot see me changing...

I use a polish called, "wet paint" which was acquired by JamesUK and he sent me a bottle and spray aerosol. It does exactly what it says on the can, looks like a freshly painted car. It's not cheap and comes from the USA. I use mine twice a year; Spring for the Summer and Autumn for Winter protection and each time it's washed it looks great. I don't have the suppliers details but no doubt James will happily divulge this info. Mike.

I got the info and addresses from the USA Honda website. I had to buy six lots to make it buyable, even then it was pretty expensive.

I haven't opened mine for years, can't afford to innit.. lol... Actually, it fell down the back of a cupboard in my shed, and I can't be bothered to shift all the junk to get to it... lmho..

BTW, don't ever spray it on Scribbler, wipe it on with a soft cloth. If you spray it, it gets in all the tiny nooks and crannies, then bleeds all down the car when it rains!!

Whilst living in Clay Cross I came across a polish called BOSUN on one of them sales pitch stalls, its really a T.V. sales channel polish, but I've also seen it at Truck Fest, its really brilliant stuff!
It beats Autoglym, only one other comes close and thats a glass fibre mould release polish thats high in carnauba wax called Mirror Glaze, it tends to leave a build up of hard wax over time and is generally hard to polish off anyway, but leaves a deep hard shine, Bosun does the business and is easy to apply and polish off.
You can even apply Bosun in full sun!
