Default Steering Wheel up/Down movement

Hello all,

My ZT 190 failed its MOT today because the tester was able to move the steering up and down even though the adjustment lever was fulled pushed in. Is this an easy fix and if so how is it done?

Thanks in advance

Don't know how to fix it directly but is a known issue and it means tightening some nuts or bolts up but I was led to beleave it would only come loose again.

cowlings off, nut on the right side of the column, tighten it a bit, so when the lever is up, its tight, job done

You need to find a better garage, at my local MOT place they would have fixed something as trivial as that rather than fail the car...
