Default Heater matrix removal 54 plate 190

Ok, I know how to get the heater matrix out on my v6. But how do you get it out of a late ZT190?
There are no visible joints in the pipes, unlike my older V6.

That is like my own car but not my mate's here.
I only have my phone, too dark for photo.
But as I said, there are no connectors at all within sight as the pipes eventually disappear up behind the dash. The pipe run looks the same but definitely no connectors at all. The pipes are also painted black.
There are only the crimped connectors on the matrix itself as on mine. I don't really want to open these as they are very difficult to reseal.
This is quite a late production model but I was not aware of a change

This not the V8, Andrew, it's a V6 190.
The rubber pipes just go thro' a double grommet under the bonnet.
Cannot see what happens inside as it's too high up behind the dash.

I have a poor photo on my phone. If your email is in your profile I can send it

Sounds likely. They were probably running out of parts by then as this one does have A/C and just about every extra.

Now you've said that, I seem to remember someone doing that. I assumed at the time that he had just given up the struggle to replace those stupid clamps on the 'normal' pipes.

They are a nightmare i must admit ....need 4 hands to be honest ...done a fare few and they are all the same flipping clamps , and why they have replaced it with a straight through is well good luck anyway bernard ......let us know how you did it with pics very handy to know how ..
