axle stands placement
I only have the jack that comes with the car, but I do have some axle stands.
If I jack up the car (front) using the jack on the normal jacking points, what is the correct place to put the axle stands ? thanks (first timer venturing into oil change and ATF change) |

Being nervous of the weight lying over me, and an inherent worry of things going wrong, I use where possible 10x10x12 inch oak blocks. These I sourced form a wood yard, and always put the wheels under the car too. Having worked in A&E departments I have seen two incidents of car crush injuries, fortunately only resulting in broken bones.
